Hello,

The use of ".org" has traditionally been reserved for non-profit
organizations but there is no law or regulation to enforce it.

As far as I'm aware, no one really monitors or polices the use of
domain names.  Go to virtually any domain name seller and you (or the
folks you've mentioned below) can buy any name they want, ending in
".com", ".net" or ".org" (provided the name has not been taken
already) and use it in whatever way they want - even as the name of a
porno site.
