TARGET: Merging elementary libraries

We have five K-5 elementary schools that will be merged into two,
grades K-3  and  4-5.  The largest of the existing elementary schools
will become the 4-5 building and a new school is being built for K-3.
The new school will be ready for the 2002-03 school year. To date no
actual plan for merging and moving the libraries has been made, other
than to say it will happen.  I have been asked to help develop a plan
for the merger, move and set-up, including a time line for action,
supply needs, time for personnel to work in the summer, etc.  If you
have had a similar experience of merging libraries or dividing a
collection, please email me.
