Has anyone else run into this? First of the year blues. Some of my kids
think that they can't check out books from their school library unless they
have money. I think they are confusing book fair with the real thing. One
little guy was browsing the shelves and I asked him if he was ready to check
out his book and he sadly told me that he didn't bring any money. So I
began explaining to all classes that it was free and if they brought their
book back they could get another for free. It was a revelation to some of
them. The deal of the century.
