SEC: Reading assembly for high school

We are using 10 minutes of an assembly early next week to kick-off our
school-wide reading promotion.  So far we will be introducing the 4 male
teachers who agreed to shave their heads if the students meet their goals
(they will be wearing bald caps) and some of the teachers will parade around
wearing sandwich boards with reading slogans while the pep band plays.
Anyone have any other quick, fun ideas to rev up a crowd of 1200 high
schoolers?
