Friends It is 10.45ish pm on Wed Sept 26 here and I have just been listening to an item on the late news about a church service being held for the 60+ Aussies who lost their lives at the WTC. The Australian Consulate in NY is desperately trying to find some wattle (acacia) and eucalypt leaves to give to the family members who attend this service. (The government has paid for airfares and accommodation for immediate family members to go to NY). If you know where they might obtain these little symbols of home, perhaps you might get in touch with the Consulate - The Australian Consulate General 150 East 42nd Street, 34th fl, New York NY 10017, USA ph (212) 351-6500 | fax: (212)351-6501 Your efforts would be very appreciated.
