Target: Digital Voice Recorder

This is a personal question, but I was wondering if any of you ever purchased
a digital voice recorder.  It's about the size of those micro-cassette tape
recorders but without the tape.  One I've seen says that you can record up to
150 minutes.

My daughter would like a recorder for her college classes, and I remember
that the quality of the cassette recorders was poor back in the day.  I'm
thinking that the digital voice recorder may be the way to go.  So, if you've
bought one that you like, please share the brand name/model number.
