On the same note....I did a search for my daughter's first and middle names on the website...Nachel Charis (pronounced: Nah-shell Shaw-reese) Her first name was a derivation of Nichelle Nichols' (Lieutenant Uhura on the old Star Trek series). Charis was a name my mother wanted to name my brother if he were a girl. Neither names were listed on the website. (And if you're curious, we are not African American. Just some Cherokee, Choctaw, German, and Irish.) My now 13-year-old daughter was always complaining about her name being different...until this past summer when she went to a Star Trek convention and actually met Nichelle Nichols. When my daughter told Ms. Nichols that she was named after her and they hugged (with pictures and everything!) ~Shonda Brisco Trinity Valley MS / US Librarian Fort Worth, TX sbrisco021@charter.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Debra W.
