My school recently completed the 600 Minutes Read to Succeed for the free
pass to Great Adventure. Several teachers expressed their concerns to me
because they've found that the students have not taken the same kind of
interest in this as they have in the past. The main reason they've cited is
the proximity of Great Adventure to the town (about 15 min.) and the fact
that most students' families have a season pass. Even suggesting to the
students that they work for a pass to bring a friend, amounted in a small
response. The teachers have told me that they've been doing this for a number
of years and that they are really in need of a new incentive.
We have done the Pizza Hut one also.
