Regarding the SLJ price hike--Call your local public library--ask them if you can
stop by after school to look at a copy (we buy about three subscriptions). I know
I'd be only too happy to have a copy available for you to look at, and I'd be happy
to copy some pages.
I'm sure that your public librarians would be thrilled to have this time with you
and...maybe arrange some booktalking school visits???
