You are wise to be frightened. Don't close up shop! Teachers hate
it! I've never shut down for inventory; the PR you loose is more
valuable than the materials you might not be able to account for.
I always send a letter to staff asking them to return materials, but
I don't pressure them. We have a portable inventory wand; inventory
is ongoing throughout the year. I hope you can do that, too.
As the year winds down be thinking about next year--what do you need
to order? What revisions in any documents should you be thinking
about. And, thank the teachers for the opportunities they provided
their students.
