OFF TOPIC: Childrens or YA book for adult discussion

Hi,
I am a member of an adult book discussion group. Our May meeting is devoted
to deciding what books to read next year. Every December we discuss a
children's or Young Adult book and the rest of the group depends on me to
come up with a good book. Some of the books we have discussed in the past
include: Bud not Buddy, Harry Potter and the Socerers Stone, and A Year Down
Yonder. Any suggestions for a good YA or children's book for us to read and
discuss next December?
