Hi Christine-- I would definitely recommend writing to authors at the company that published their books. I have written several books for kids and young adults, and all of my fan mail is forwarded to me by my publisher. In fact, I'd be a little bit nervous if I got mail directly from a reader -- I'd wonder how they got my address! Plus, it's very easy to get the address for the publisher -- some are printed right in the book! You might want to have your students note on the envelope that they are writing to an author, not an employee of the company. They could address the envelope this way: Author's Name Author c/o Publishing company Address Hope this helps! --Eric Elfman www.elfmanworld.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
