Hello,
Our local paper had two articles recently concerning children who
are growing up in divorced homes or who are part of step families. One
school actually has a group called Banana Splits. It gives information and
counseling to children and teens that are having emotional issues connected
to their living situations. The sessions run over a six week period.
I would like to write a letter to the paper concerning the role that
the school media specialist can play in providing both fiction and
nonfiction materials to both students and adults. This is a subject that is
YA authors have treated extensively. I would like to know if you have any
particular suggestions I can include, perhaps some personal experiences that
I could share.
