A student is looking for a historical fiction book about the American Revolution. It is about a young girl who sews hidden messages into the buttons of soldier's jackets. It may be an American Girl book, or a Dear America or even a graphic novel. She thinks it was in diary form but it also has what she called "cartoons." If anyone can help, I would appreciate it! I have searched all day and come up empty handed! Thanks in advance!
