If our senior class wanted to put on a karaoke show, what would they need to do to comply with copyright laws? They are thinking of downloading lyrics from internet sites, projecting the lyrics via a lightware device, (possibly in a Powerpoint presentation) and playing the music from CD's for kids to accompany. This event would probably be held in the gym on a weekend evening, and admission would be charged. Has anyone else done this? How can we do it legally? Thanks for the advice!
