Thank you to the quick fingers of an LM-Net member, I was directed to the
archives. The quote is there, but there is no bibliographic backup. Does
anyone have a corroborative source? It seems that a lot of these aphorisms
and quotes have dubious validity. I find that with quotes by Lincoln,
Einstein and Socrates, people don't source their quotes; even God gets
sourced through the Scriptures. As far as I know, Socrates nenver wrote
anything on his own, but everything was stylized and recorded by his
student, Plato.
For those of us needing a mid-week chuckle, here is the quote:
