I am currently a 5th grade teacher and librarian-in-training. We have had AR at our elementary school for the past six years, and we expect to be using it for the foreseeable future. Students coming to me the last couple of years are showing some burn out on the program, in particular complaining that there are the same old titles to look at year after year. We don't have a lot of room to add to the collection, so I was wondering if is is feasible to swap a block of AR titles with another school in the same district? I think we could come up with the money to buy the tests. We use Alexandria district-wide. Any thoughts on whether this would be do-able, or other suggestions on how to freshen the collection to keep AR interest up, would be greatly appreciated.
