Colleagues: Two of our high school senior English teachers are looking to update the curriculum to include some more upbeat selections. They are concerned about how many depressing books our students read as required reading (and so am I!). I know there are humorous YA authors and titles out there, but could you recommend some that would be appropriate for study in upper level "collegebound" classes? Any help would be appreciated!
