Check out the Harry Potter Lexicon http://www.hp-lexicon.org/index.html. I
couldn't find the answer to your question, about the term appearing in the
first 4 books. But I wonder if perhaps it was used in "Quidditch Through the
Ages", the thin book which purports to be one Harry's books.
