In HP&SS the word "field" was used all the time. Since the title was changed to SS (American version) from PS (British version) I thought maybe the Scholastic editors had changed that word too. But then in HP&CS, Ch. 10, there is this: "'So no pressure, Harry,' said Fred, winking at him. "As they walked out onto the pitch, a roar of noise greeted them;. . ."
