Three seventh grade boys (Charlie, Jeffrey and Sidney) are
frequently in the principal's office at school and he realized that
detention is not having any effect so he enrolls them in a karate
class.  Although the classes are a punishment, they boys begin to
enjoy them while they learn about themselves and how to interact
with other people.  This 157 page book is entertaining and the first
part of a collection of books about these boys.  Although this is a
good book, I preferred "The Bachelors" a little more.  This series is
very approachable for your reluctant reading boys.
