Don't sell these online programs short! =20

I looked long and hard for a program that would be acceptable to me=2E I =
am
nearing the end of my Ph=2ED=2E program in Education: Administration,
Curriculum & Instruction (I have my MLS and I could not find an online
Library Science program or local Ph=2ED=2E program) at the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln=2E I will be ABD in the spring and have taken over 60
credits of coursework=2E =20

I wisely chose a program that has a 'brick and mortar' base, and I can
honestly say I have never had a more rewarding educational experience=2E =
My
advisor is wonderful, and responds to any question I may have immediately
via email, snail mail (if needed) and/or telephone=2E Out of all my cours=
es,
I only had 2 poorly taught ones (I had much more than that in my
face-to-face classes)=2E The exchange between students and instructors
(sometimes more than one in a course) has been exceptional! I have also
benefited from varied points of view on educational issues because my
'classmates' live in all parts of the country and world=2E I have worked
long and hard, and I have learned much=2E

I don't want to start an hornet's nest of chat - BUT, I can't imagine any
Doctoral program worthy of its name that was online=2E So much of my prog=
ram
depended on the daily interaction between professors and students - and,
yes, I know there is email and virtual learning, etc=2E However, I stick m=
y by
belief=2E I don't believe I would be the person I am today without Profess=
or
Jane Anne Hannigan and Professor Kay E=2E Vandergrift=2E
