My principal has been trying for some time to remember a title of a story
she loved as a child and is asking for my assistance. I have had no luck,
so am reaching out to my fellow LM_NETTERS. The story is about an old woman
who lives on top of a hill, who sends an alligator down into town with a
note during a terrible rain storm. Of course, given the alligator's
appearance, the townspeople are frightened and can be of no assistance to
the old woman. Does anyone know of this book?
