TECH: Upgrading to Sagebrush Spectrum 5.3

Hello LM_NETers,

My school is planning on upgrading our library
software from Spectrum 4.0 to the newest version of
Spectrum. (It's hard to tell from the Sagebrush
website if it's 5.2 or 5.3.)

We're currently using an older Novell server that will
also need to be replaced. I'm trying to find out if we
can (or should) use our one-year-old Mac x-serve as
the library server as well as continuing to use it for
our Mac lab and upper grade classrooms.

Does anyone have any experience with the newest
version of Spectrum or any advice on what hardware we
should use?
