You could always make something out of the weeded books. Check out this link: http://theory.csail.mit.edu/classes/bookbuild/art.html Actually, I agree with some other responses that you should just discard them quietly and discreetly. Most people do not believe in discarding "perfectly good material" - even if it is out-dated. "My mind contains many good ideas, but it is not always easy to squeeze one out." -----Original Message----- From: School Library Media & Network Communications [mailto:LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU] On Behalf Of Katie Voss Sent: Thursday, December 02, 2004 10:26 AM To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Subject: TARGET: used book sales worthwhile? Hi all, I've been weeding like crazy over the past two months, and my principal has asked me to find out the profitability of having a book sale. We are a small high school of 300 with a very small budget, so it would be great if we could raise some money for the library. Has anybody had a very successful book sale? Can you share the perks and pitfalls of these sales? As always, thank you very much, Katie Voss -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
