There recently has been a brief discussion on the pros and cons of why to take off dust jackets. Last night as I was re-reading some books another reason hit me...sometimes there is important information for the book on the end papers that are obscured by the dust jackets! Case in point: Diary of a Worm - you miss half of Worm's scrapbook and also Seaman's Journal where the front end papers is Lewis and Clark's trip west and the back end papers shows the return trip east. Of course, there are times when you get a rebound book that these neat features are totally lost!
