Malena:

For us, the Gale DISCovering Collection of literary criticism is
invaluable. ProQuest Platinum is also heavily used for periodicals. SIRS
gets somewhat less use, but is needed because of its government and
historical back coverage, absent from ProQuest. Opposing Viewpoints (also
a Gale product now) is excellent for , well, opposing viewpoints<G> on
topical issues. Finally, Bridges and COIN are great for career
information, and COIN is a good choice for college information as well,
linked to career choices.

"I'll have to admit that he's a very competent scholar."
"Isn't he just a librarian?" Garion asked, "somebody who looks after books?"
"That's where all the rest of scholarship starts, Garion. All the books in
the world won't help you if they're just piled up in a heap." (David
Eddings "King of the Murgos.")
