This is w-a-y off-topic but it is an information request and an example of
lifelong learning so ...
I am looking to life after life in the library and am thinking that I will
return to my patchworking and quilt-making that I haven't touched for 15
years. Although there is nothing wrong with the sewing machine I have, out
of curiosity I have been looking at what the latest models are and I have
found a Bernina that runs on Windows 2000 with an external CD ROM. It is
mega-bucks ($US 7000) which I am reluctant to part with if there is a model
coming that either has an internal CD-ROM or which can be plugged directly
into your computer or laptop to take advantage of the power of those.
None of the retailers here know the answer to my question so I thought I
would ask the land of the quilters - given that you are first with new
technology such as this. Should I stick with my old machine because the
sort I envisage is on its way to Australia soon? Or is my thinking way
beyond that of the sewing-machine designers?
Please DO NOT post responses to the list - I feel uncomfortable enough with
