I always have a few students who don't get books back, but it is
amazing how many books are suddenly found when the thought of a
popscicle comes up! I reward each class that gets all their books
'taken care of' by a certain date popscicles. By taken care I mean paid
for if the book is not found.

Unfortunately this year my problem has been a teacher who still has 30+
books out. 'Oh, I'll find them' she said...but I have yet to see them
and school has been out for 2 weeks. I am tempted to go into her
classroom and see if I can find any of them! My principal is aware of
who on the staff still has books out; last year I know she did some
reinforcing for me but if she did this year it hasn't worked with this
one! I know our district has a policy about student responsibility; I
need to check and see what there is about teacher responsibility.
