Friends, We just had a challenge of a video in my 3-5 school used to teach Human Growth and Development i.e. (s*x ed). The video was challenged by 2 sets of parents who had seen the video at the parent preview night. While they both challenged the video, their reasoning, which they stated in their Request for Reconsideration form, was different. The Super appointed a review committee, etc. All the procedures were followed. My question is, if you have 2 different challenges to the same material simultaneously do you have individual committees/hearings to review the request for consideration or can you "kill two birds with one stone" so to speak? We are going to be tweaking our policy after having been through the process and I thought I'd ask for some input.
