Original Message:
Do any of you have sites that you visit in order to see what movies are
released based on books. I am a reader but I am not a movie goer, so I
would love to find a resource I can use to promote the books/authors to the
students.

The release of The Polar Express made me think I could display an author
study for him on the elementary side but would like to do some on the hs
side as well. The site would allow me to find them and use them as they
were released.

Thanks for the following responses!

www.upcomingmovies.com You can search for movies based on books.
Unfortunately, the webmaster is battling a serious illness right now and
isn't able to update very often. It is a fantastic site.

BOOKMARKS magazine has a page devoted to just that!

Here is one source to find films:
The monthly catalog from Midwest Tapes shows movies that are being released
on DVD or VHS from books. Call 1-800-875-2785 to get on their mailing list.

This one has probably already been suggested but you might want to try:
This link is for movies based on a book -- there is a link for upcoming
kids' movies and releases by date.

Sometimes I use http://www.imdb.com/ because you can put in the title of a
movie and it will often tell the book it is based on. It's a great
reference source period.
