Thank you for your suggestions.  Because so many of you have indicated that Deltora 
Quest is
available in the US, I will refer to this in the article.  Then, because of the 
number if requests,
I will write up what I actually did for the "Deltora Quest Quest" in my column for 
Teacher
Librarian, so you can use it as a model or as itself.

either April 06 or Jun 06.

In the meantime, suggestions for series that might lend themselves to a series of 
activities which
requires the students to read and re-read to really engage with the text; that the 
problem to solve
demands higher-order thinking and needs more than one session to complete were
