The "Little Lit" Series by Art Spiegelman (et. al) is super. (It was a
dark and silly night, Strange stories for Strange kids, Folklores and
Fairytale funnies)

Amelia rules! series - Jimmy Gownley
Kim Possible series - Bob Schooley
My Neighbor Totoro series - Hayao Miyazaki
Little Vampire does Kung fu! - Joann Sfar (series perhaps?)
Little Lit series
Hope this helps - I have only 4th and 5th

There's a great article in the January 2005 issue of Library Media
Connection called "Graphic Novels for the Elementary School Audience" by Maureen
Mooney (sorry I don't have the link handy). I just referenced it for a graduate
school project (and I hung onto it for recommendations for my 6-year-old son).

I have Avi's City of light, city of dark, Gownley's Amelia rules and also many of
the Capstone graphic history and biographies (not novels but they read them as if
they are.)

You would do great with the following titles/series:
Bone by Jeff Smith (first book Out from Boneville)
Amelia Rules! by Jimmy Gownley

Bone by Jeff Smith - there are about 8 of them
Ricky Ricotta by Dav Pilkey
Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey
Electric Girl by Michael Brennan (2)
W.I.T.C.H. Graphic Novels
The Adventure of Tintin by Herge
Akiko by Mark Crilley
Elfquest by Wendy Pini
Alison Dare Adventures by J. Torres
Dragon Ball by Akira Toriya

Look at the Dav Pilkey Books. Captain Underpants and Ricky Ricotta

My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away (both series books).
