Hi everyone. I am in need of advice. This is for me, not a patron, so there's no hurry. I love to listen to books on tape while driving in my car, and I've invested a good little bit in books on cassette that are not available on cd and that are not available anywhere except used through the secondary market. I am about to trade in my car for one that does not have a cassette nor is it available as an option. I would like to convert my cassettes to cds so that I can listen to them in the car without having to use a portable walkman, etc. This will be for my personal use only and only from those I have paid for myself. I have been looking at methods to convert cassettes to cd by burning them on the computer, and it seems fairly straight forward, but I would appreciate the benefit of any advice from those who may have done this. There are so many different softwares to choose from, and some I have been able to find reviews on, but not on others. Is there one you would recommend as user-friendly and that produces good quality sound? Also, is it necessary to convert to MP3 first if you do not intend to use them in this format? Thanks in advance for any help you may give.
