So does this mean that when I listen to a commerical on the radio that is read from a written script I am reading that commerical? Or that when I listen to a ballgame I am reading that ballgame? What about if I add visual content--say if I see something performed live or on film or videotape--am I still reading that material as well? I don't think the skills involved in those processes are any less valuable, but I'm not sure I would call them reading.
