And just what is that connection-
Reading First is a federal program
Reading Counts was not accepted by Reading First either last I looked -

Nor could you buy RC quizzes with Title I funds --

What is embedded in their software that you are tlaking about?

As far as naughtiest list -- be glad that you are not making statements like this
about some other companies -I know - you would be receivng a letter from their
attorneys --
Be careful what you put in writing and post for the world to see --

Sent this to Kay, but what the heck - the list might as well read it too. I
am sure I am already on Scholastic's "Naughtiest People's" list because of
my outspokenness.

Of course you will - and meanwhile Scholastic laughs all the way to the bank
as it continually markets products with use-by dates firmly embedded in
them! Oh, for teachers who can teach with confidence without these
expensive commercial products and more especially, administrators who would
let them! Wouldn't the funds for our libraries be boosted then!

Or am I just TOO cynical.
