[LM_NET] Target: title of poem needed!

Alright, after 45 minutes wasted surfing google and my poetry anthologies
for help, I've turned to the real experts... YOU!

The poem I'm searching for is a long poem or ballad, about the
disappearance/murder of a man... perhaps in a lake.  I think it's fairly
famous.  Sorry for the sketchy details... you can see what I'm working with
here.  It was mentioned several times by one of my professors and now I am
stuck trying to search my brain for the actual title.  Please reply off-list
if you can provide a title or author.

Thanks so much for your help!  I need it with a Poetry unit coming up!
