[LM_NET] JOBS: Davenport, Iowa

It looks like the Davenport, Iowa, Community School District will have five
openings for media specialist positions this coming year. Four are
elementary positions and one is high school, though the actual positions
could change this spring after we go through a bidding process. (People in
the school system are allowed to bid on available positions before hiring
takes place.) Two of these positions are currently held by longterm subs who
do not have media degrees. For some reason there have not been any qualified
applicants for these positions. I know the district would be thrilled to get
applicants, as would the rest of the media specialists.

Our district has 19 elementary schools, six intermediate schools (6-8) and
three high schools. We have been making use of a 1% sales tax to add
wonderful additions to a majority of our schools. Most of the additions have
included beautiful new media centers! If you're interested, you can see

in December.

Davenport is located right on the Mississippi River in eastern Iowa.
