If I am reading this correctly, it mandates that schools report annually whether or not they have a library and if it is staffed by a librarian (no mention of 'credentialed' librarian, but perhaps that is covered somewhere else in law, defining the term to mean credentialed or degreed). It does not *require* schools to have a library or a librarian, just that they state annually if they do or not. Those LM-Netters who are in the Lone Star State: what are the " indicators adopted under Sections 39.051(b)(1) through (7)", and what happens if a school does not meet them? This certainly would be more than we have in California.
