I am working on a year-long project that will involved experienced / certified librarians working as mentors with new and / or uncertified librarians. I am curious if there are other schools / districts that have an active mentor / mentee relationship between librarians? If you are involved in a mentor / mentee program for librarians and can offer some ideas or project programming ideas, would you please email me off-list? At this time I am interested in learning what criteria you've used to select the mentors (their qualifications) and what benefits these individuals receive for their work as mentors? I am also interested in the time involved (is this a yearly program, a monthly project, etc.) and how do you evaluate the program's success? Are there any face-to-face activities? Do the participants discuss information online, in-person, by phone, etc? If you have any information, websites, articles, etc., I'd appreciate knowing. I am currently reviewing the literature, but any additional information received would be appreciated! Thanks! ~Shonda Shonda Brisco, MLIS US / Technology Librarian Fort Worth Country Day School Fort Worth, TX sbrisco@fwcds.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
