I have enjoyed reading all of these great ideas. One thing that I have
done for years is toss every teacher request note into a file. (I had a
supervisor who wanted us to do this and I have continued.) The file is
not in any order and is bulging after at least 10 years, but that is
one way to document the things that we all do. Of course, now I get so
many e-mail requests I guess I could save them in an electronic folder.
Libraries and Library Media Specialists (not to mention budget) are not
even mentioned in our district's Five-Year "master plan". So just in
case anyone wants to know what I "do" in those "free" moments...
