Joe is a slang term for a man, Jane is the slang term for a woman, Anna is a Pakistani unit of measure. The other words: "lezz" = a lesbian, "div"= divide, "mu" is the 12th letter of the Greek alphabet, "whens"= plural of when, "visiter" is another spelling of visitor. These are legitimate Scrabble words. What you need is to purchase an Official Scrabble Dictionary, they are not expensive - this will not only list acceptable words, but will also give you the definitions. My husband and I use them all the time and one requirement for using an obscure word is that you must read the definition. Then you would not only be encouraging your students to learn to spell, but also to use a reference word to increase their vocabulary!!
