Thank you everyone for your responses - it seems that the version of
Scrabble available here is different from the one available in the US. But
many of you went to the trouble of telling me the word definitions (several
are not "Australian-isms") and so now my vocabulary has increased, even if I
can't beat the computer. Next time I do an Amazon order I shall included
the Scrabble dictionary.
Think I will stick o the board game for the kids for now.
