Hello All-
We just wrapped up our Visiting Author Program for this school year and I
thought I would share with the list what a wonderfully fantastic time we
had.
Lisa Campbell Ernst came and in two whirlwind days met with our children in
small groups by grade level, grades PK -5
She held all of them captive (not an easy task as you all know) with stories
of her childhood, the process of writing and illustrating, drawing
characters from her books, reading aloud from her wonderful books and then a
question and answer period.
She then signed each child's book with drawing. The feedback from,
students, teachers, parents and our administration has been exceedingly
positive. I highly recommend her for any elementary school. She is a true
gem and there is no questioning her passion for writing/illustrating and
children.
