This is one of those things that create more work for me.... I put the books
in a "new" display - and, yes, they do get checked out (YEAH) - and often
they don't get put back there when they are returned - but I don't really
care...I often find them on the shelving cart and may put them back on the
display but often I get distracted and don't. As for New stickers - they
cost money - and then someone has to take them off when the book is no
longer new...and that would mean a system to determine that...and that
someone would probably mean me --much too much work for me. makes me sound
cranky, I know -- but this is one of those things I taught in library school
(CREATE DISPLAYS!!!  HAVE FUN WITH NEW TITLES!!!, etc.) but don't often do
myself.

just my meanderings on this last period of Ascension Day, Holocaust Day, and
Cinco de Mayo (we are stuffed).
