I was thinking about Amy's question and came up with the idea that many
newspapers are using today (although it annoys me on the front of the
newspaper, but it might work for new books!)--why not puttin on those
peelable stickies--about 3 inch square announcing that this is a new
book. Sure, some will be peeled off, but many will stay on. It doesn't
appear that it would do any damage.

I bet they sell this type of label at the Office Supply stores--you
could print whatever you want on the label. And when they are ready to
go on the regular shelves, simply peel it off and throw it away.

Has anyone tried this? Does it work?

TIA

What do you do with your new books after you have them ready for check
out? I have a "new" book section, but when different people shelve them
the new books do not get back to that section, so they are only located
in the "new" section when they are initially put out.

If you put a "new" sticker on them when do you take it off, how time
consuming is that?
