Why limit to Word? Copy / paste and type in from paper sources to 
powerpoint or impress,; one note per 'slide' with enough info for 
citation. Then researcher could sort and organize and print if 
necessary. And maybe there would be an epiphany about 'one idea per 
card/slide'.
