I am currently using a blog to get information about events in my library and the
Accelerated Reader Program out to the parents and students. I post important
dates, student recognitions and general information. I try to post about once a
week. I have mine linked to the school website and have posted the information in
the PTA monthly newsletter. I have added a counter to my blog to track usage.

I am encouraging our publicity person to begin a blog on our web page; she
is professing to be unfamiliar. First question she asked me was how it
could be used and useful. To me it seems obvious, a communications tool.
