One book that I have seen really take off among high
school students was "The Grounding of Group Six," by
Julian Thompson.
This is definitely TEEN fare, though--grade 9 and up.
Arriving at what they believe is an exclusive boarding
school, five sixteen-year olds are unaware that their
own parents, who the children have recently
disappointed in various ways, have sent them there to
be exterminated and that their teacher is a murderer
for hire. When the hit man is unable to complete the
job, the faculty have to begin hunting the group down
in the wilderness surrounding the school.
