I know everyone saw Shonda Brisco's answer to my question about how to tell a CD from a DVD. Here are the rest of the suggestions I received. And thanks to the people who made me feel it wasn't such a dumb question after all! ---------------------------------- Try the DVD player first since it will probably play a CD. Some DVD players can play more than one type of disk. A light will come on indicating which kind it is. Your DVD player may do this, too. Look for the labeled lights. There might be a clue in the serial number etched into the center ring. We use totally bland cd-r discs, and there is a "CD-R" in the middle of the number. A DVD might be the same. Related question, were there any accompanying materials and did they describe the disc? (Answer-- no accompanying materials, but when I went back and looked at the website, it did say the kit included a DVD...But I ordered the kit weeks ago. As my principal says, "I've slept since then!") Thanks, y'all! Nancy Dickinson, Librarian Hillsboro Elem.
